Resurrection Young Adults
Learning to Love God, Self, and Neighbor for a Lifetime
Our Young Adult Community Groups provide a sacred space of vibrant community for young adults in their 20s and 30s. This ministry meets Wednesday nights at 6:45pm in the Wesley Chapel of the Leawood Location. We are passionate about two things: that you will learn to live out your identity, and that you will have fun along the way. As you spend time with this group of young adults and older mentors, our hope is that you will deepen your understanding of who you are, how you can relate well to your neighbor, and how your life work can further the Kingdom of God for the entirety of your life.
What does that look like? Every week you’ll hear a devotional from one of our amazing Resurrection staff members, participate in authentic discussion, and form lasting relationships. You’ll start off in the large group, listen to a message, move into your breakout group, and then end the time with the large group again. We have breakout groups for women, groups for men, and coed groups. Our small group discussion leaders are an amazing team of older (seasoned?) adults who are role models in their families, workplaces, and volunteer organizations across KC. Current attendees testify that this team of group leaders is one of the reasons they keep coming back. On the fourth week of every month, we have a planned fun event in place of a normal group meeting. As you go, we’ll expose you the ways you can serve the Kingdom of God through the ministries of Resurrection for years to come.

Other Events
There are plenty of opportunities to engage with our community beyond Wednesday night groups. We have monthly fun events, plan occasional churchwide outings for young adults (such as Chicken n Pickle Outings and a retreat coming up this summer!), and attend other service and/or opportunities at Resurrection. Join our community of young adults every Sunday morning. We love welcoming new people! Every week we’ll process the major takeaways from the sermon, play a fiercely competitive game or two, and eat some snacks. What else do you need in life, really?!
